NetBase NFA
NFA at a Glance
• Load balancing for MPE
• Provides transparent access and control of programs on remote systems
• Maintain data in one system, distribute the applications across multiple machine
The distribution of software and data across a network is crucial to effective load-balancing. However, the time spent moving data back and forth across the network can make this prohibitive, and frequent changes to the final configuration are needed in order to maintain performance goals. NetBase Network File Access (NFA) and AutoRPM are streamlined distributed computing solutions for MPE that address this need.
NetBase Load Balancing
NetBase NFA maximizes networking performance by minimizing individual network transactions. NetBase NFA lets you spread applications across multiple machines to isolate application usage and increase network throughput, enabling cost-effective horizontal systems growth and flexibility. If additional processing power is needed, adding and integrating an additional system is a simple task, and the cost of the addition is typically a fraction of equivalent upgrades to a single, overloaded machine.
NFA Features
• Enables an application designed to run on a single computer to be easily distributed across multiple computers without having to change a single line of application code.
• Allows users on any number of systems to transparently access data stored on a different system.
• Provides remote file access without the need for remote sessions, saving valuable user licenses for other uses.
• Dynamically self-tunes for best performance, thereby minimizing maintenance overhead.
• Allows for instant network changes without the need for costly system re-boots.
• Enables the configuration of comprehensive network security.
• Provides on-line network status displays. Gives constant feedback about user activity through its user activity monitor.
• Supports all MPE file types.
• Maximizes the use of network resources.
• Instantly redirects users to remote applications.
• Handles all remote session management.
• Transports file equations and other session
NetBase Auto RPM
NetBase AutoRPM greatly reduces your licensing costs by allowing you to maintain only one copy of expensive applications. Once configured, NetBase AutoRPM gives users transparent access to applications located on remote systems, automatically transporting the user to the appropriate computer. As with NetBase NFA, only one command is required to redirect all users of an application to another system.
